Chicago-based band Sleepwalk today have shared their new single "Jan 22," the latest preview of their upcoming LP View From The Outside, due out November 13th via MNRK Heavy. The anthemic, serene track is a comforting dream-pop number–enveloping vocal melodies and shimmering, gentle guitars cascade over a dense rhythm section, seeing the four-piece further refine their blend of shoegaze, 90s alternative rock, and post-hardcore (in the vein of Hum, Failure, and Quicksand). "'Jan 22’ is a love letter to winter time in the city, as well as a general celebration of life," Ryan Davis (vocals/guitar) explains. "It's easy to focus on the bad things and miss the beauty.”
Today's release follows lead single "Sandbox," which garnered praise from Northern Transmissions, Get Some Mag, The Deli, Devolution Magazine, White Light White Heat, SF Shameless, Distorted Sound Mag, SPILL, Release Wave, PopDust, and more.
